Baseball Facilities

The City of Aiken, through its Parks and Recreation Department, operates and maintains 13 baseball playing fields located in three complexes:

In addition to the playing fields, baseball practice fields are designated behind Citizens Park I in the area shared by the soccer program. The practice fields are located on the opposite side of Citizen's Park I across Citizens Park Drive.

Citizens Park I (Fields 1 through 5)

Citizens Park I has five regulation sized fields for baseball and softball use. For the 2005 baseball season, the fields will be used as indicated:

The layout of Citizens Park I features a central two-story complex with concession area and dinning patio, children's play area, and restrooms. The concession area is normally open during all scheduled games and offers a variety of snacks, including hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks.

Citizens Park II (Fields 6 through 10)

Citizens Park II opened in 2002 to great fanfare. Here you will find the Citizens Park complex administrative offices, including baseball registration on the second floor. Citizens Park II is used exclusively for the "AA" League (9 & 10 year-olds), Pre-Majors League (11 & 12 year-olds), and the Majors League(13 & 14 year-olds). Other than baseball registration, this complex isn't used by the "AA" League and Tee-Ball baseball programs.

Citizen's Park II offers a concession area and dinning patio, children's play area, and restrooms. The concession area is normally open during all scheduled games and offers a variety of snacks, including hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks.

Tee-Ball Fields(Fields T-1 through T-3)

Tee-ball was first offered by the Parks and Recreation Department in 2003, with two tee-ball fields opening up at the corner of Powerhouse Road and Citizens Park Drive directly behind Citizens Park I. Field T-3 was added in 2005 due to the growth and popularity of the tee-ball program.
